1968 Clebar Chronograph

With a Stainless Steel case is approximately 37 mm (excluding crown). Includes one Crown and Buckle 18 mm brown Rallye strap and one Crown and Buckle nylon strap. Clebar is one of those defunct Swiss brands that flies under the radar, and they’re probably best known among collectors today for their “Poor Man’s Heuers”, the chronographs that closely resemble early Heuer Carreras.

“The Dream” if you will, of the vintage wristwatch collector, is to find a completely original timepiece in the hands of its first owner. The story of the piece is that much clearer and the connection to history is that much greater. It is a truly exciting feeling knowing that a timepiece is being transferred from its first owner directly to you.

That’s what happened in the case of this super cool Clebar Chronograph. Recently acquired from the collection of its original owner in upstate New York. Powered by the legendary Valjoux 7733 manual-winding chronograph movement.

This Clebar is an excellent (and affordable!) alternative to its contemporary counterparts from brands such as Zodiac, Heuer, or Breitling. In short, it is an excellent vintage chronograph with all the looks and a much smaller price tag.
